Bolton, MA – May 19, 2009 – Since February 2008, the Marine Maintenance SystemSM by SeaKits has been a standard feature on Kadey-Krogen trawler yachts. The Marine Maintenance System created by SeaKits is the first comprehensive spare parts and maintenance management solution specifically developed for passage making and offshore yachts and was introduced to owners and manufacturers of boats in the 40- to 100-foot range in the recreational industry in 2006. Larry Polster, vice president of Kadey-Krogen Yachts says that making MMS a standard feature on their boats is a value add for their customers and ensures that maintenance will be a comprehensive and turnkey experience for new owners.
As maintenance can often be a daunting task for new boat owners, SeaKits believes in educating boaters on the ease with which MMS allows them to manage regular maintenance schedules, spare parts planning, outfitting, and documentation for all systems on board. In order to offer Kadey-Krogen customers top-notch customer service SeaKits founder, Barry Kallander, will be present at this summer’s Kadey-Krogen Open House June 12-14th to demonstrate the MMS and how it optimizes the safety, reliability, performance, and value of a Kadey-Krogen trawler. Barry will also be available to discuss the unique maintainability aspects of Kadey-Krogen yachts which are achieved by the designer’s layout of equipment and ease of access to equipment.
The Kadey-Krogen Open House will run from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Saturday and from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday. The event is free and open to the public and the media. The newest boat in the company’s line, the 55′ Expedition which has MMS on board, will be open for touring and will host on board demonstrations of the SeaKits Marine Maintenance System. Kadey-Krogen will also have 39′, 44′, 48′, and 58′ models available, all of which have MMS on board as part of their overall maintenance solution.
Anyone interested in joining the cruising-under-power lifestyle will appreciate the chance to go aboard Kadey-Krogen yachts and those seeking a comprehensive solution for maintenance and spare parts planning will have the opportunity to see MMS in action. The system can be easily integrated into the design of any new build and can also be retrofit by the do-it-yourselfer.
