Hudson, MA – March 30, 2010 – SeaKits has delivered its award winning Marine Maintenance System (MMS) to the 100th yacht. Marytime, a new Nordhavn 60 owned by Victor Murray, was the 100th vessel to receive MMS installation which was completed in December. SeaKits also provided complete spare parts outfitting for Marytime which included stocking the boat with the essential service parts to support all planned maintenance as well as common repair parts; all parts are carried aboard in water resistant kits. MMS will provide Victor with a comprehensive and easy to use approach to managing all of the maintenance, spare parts, and technical documents aboard Marytime.
To commemorate this milestone, SeaKits has designed the “MMS Onboard” logo to mark those yachts benefiting from the leading maintenance program for serious cruising yachts. The “MMS Onboard” logo identifies a yacht that is maintained to the yacht builder’s and equipment manufacturer’s high standards and is sure to maintain its value far above yachts using ad-hoc or repair-driven maintenance programs. Yachts using MMS have crossed oceans and are providing their owners with safe and reliable cruising.
Leading yacht builders like Fleming, Kadey-Krogen, Outer Reef, Sea Spirit, and Selene Annapolis Yachts provide MMS as standard equipment on their new yachts. In addition, SeaKits spare parts kits and MMS discounts are available on yachts sold by Curtis Stokes and Associates.
Victor Murray describes his experience in outfitting with SeaKits, “MMS is a critical component to operating my yacht with confidence. No matter where I am on the water I always know what parts I have on board, when my equipment was last serviced, and when regular maintenance intervals are due. I appreciate being able to log all information and data in a central location and SeaKits training and support allows me to easily navigate MMS and use the system to enhance my boat ownership and cruising experience.”
SeaKits has been consistently growing since it entered the yacht and workboat markets and the company remains dedicated to improving its products and services so that customers receive the best that technology has to offer with the functionality that makes sense for their type of boating.
Barry Kallander, president and founder of SeaKits says, “Delivering MMS to our 100th yacht was a significant milestone for the company that we are quite proud of. We have great partners in the yachting industry and the product features we will introduce this year will benefit an even wider range of customers.”
SeaKits will be exhibiting at all of PassageMaker’s Trawler Fest shows throughout the year. MMS and all of SeaKits products and services can be seen at Trawler Fest and other major shows.
