Join us at TrawlerFest Seattle, WA – April 23rd – April 27th

TrawlerFest is PassageMaker’s stand-alone series of boat shows, specifically designed for cruising-under-power enthusiasts.

Strategically located in key cruising regions nationwide, TrawlerFest showcase the nation’s best in-water display of new & pre-owned cruising powerboats, first class boating courses and demos, the latest marine products & services, and rendezvous-style parties!

TrawlerFest is more than a boat show; it’s where industry, education, and community come together in a fun, relaxed, rendezvous-type atmosphere. TrawlerFest is an experience you simply won’t want to miss!

WheelHouse will be exhibiting at the show and will be presenting a seminar as a break-out session during the two day engine class presented by Nigel Calder & Mike Beemer.

This is not the only diesel engine course for boaters, but it is the only diesel engine course for boaters taught by author/researcher Nigel Calder and veteran marine trades educator Mike Beemer. It is also worthy of note that unlike most other engine instructors Calder, PassageMaker magazine’s technical editor, is also a real-deal world cruiser, who bring this perspective to the curriculum. Beemer is department chair for the Marine Maintenance Technology school at Skagit Valley College in Anacortes.

Join us at TrawlerFest Stuart, FL – March 5th – March 9th

WheelHouse will be exhibiting at the show and  will be presenting a seminar as a break-out session during the two day engine class presented by Nigel Calder & Steve Zimmerman.

This is not the only diesel engine course for boaters, but it is the only diesel engine course for boaters taught by renown author/researcher Nigel Calder and veteran boatbuilder and yard operator Steve Zimmerman. Calder is PassageMaker magazine’s technical editor, while Zimmerman writes a regular column called “Troubleshooter.” Adolf Ellert is the top technician for Shearwater Marine of Stuart Florida, a division of Whiticar Boatworks and TrawlerFest partner. It is also worthy of note that unlike most other engine instructors both Calder and Zimmerman are real-deal cruisers, who bring this perspective to the curriculum. This two-day session combines classroom time with hands-on engine time in the shop. It also combines theory and practical troubleshooting instruction, and it does so with a touch of humor to keep things lively.

Fleet Documents

Fleet Documents feature allows a user to add documents to any vessel and once added, these documents will be available on all vessels within the fleet.  This can be utilized for documents such as USCG COlREGS and Light Lists, corporate policy documents, and any other document where vessel level access is required.   Boat builders and yacht managers may also utilize this feature for newsletters and other fleet documents.

Feature Update – Fleet Dashboard

Last summer we released a fleet dashboard view that originally was only available by creating a new user account but we recently added this dashboard to all fleet administrators and fleet users access.  The dashboard allows a View Only scrolling display of vessel information including: readiness status; alert count; task details; and overdue indicator.  This is a responsive web page that is equally suited to displaying on a mobile phone as a control room wall panel display.  Fleet admins will see all vessels in their program while fleet users will only see the vessels assigned to them in their user profile.  While this page is static, we are currently developing a new tile display to show details on a number of fleet functions.  To learn about recent and upcoming feature additions, please review our splash screens and check out our Release Notes Blog.   If you have any questions, please send us an e-mail.  Click the above "Go to WheelHouse" to accept this message and log into WheelHouse.

  • Displays readiness status; alerts count; task details; and amount overdue
  • Best viewed on wall displays in full screen mode
    • Dashboard Access only users, future release will allow for existing user integration
  • Page refreshes every (5) minutes
  • Vessel Readiness notes may be displayed by hovering over vessel name
  • Formatted to display up to (10) alerts per vessel
    • Alert scrolling is paused by hovering cursor over alerts
    • Continuous scroll through vessel fleet or manually scroll with vessel and fleet scroll bars

WheelHouse Participating in American Pilots’ Association Biennial Conference 9/30 – 10/5

The American Pilots’ Association is the national association of the piloting profession. Its membership is made up of approximately 60 groups of state-licensed pilots, representing virtually all the state pilots in the country, as well as the three groups of United States-registered pilots operating in the Great Lakes. Pilots from APA-member groups pilot over 95 percent of all ocean-going vessels moving in United States waters.
